Major news on the home front...my dog had emergency surgery on sunday so i have lost my go to running partner...not to mention i have more stress...anyways so i'm having to figure out what its like to run with out her...lets just say it sucks.
anyways so i didn't run tuesday cause i was taking care of her...so i ran my tuesday run on wednesday...i ran the springwater trail...by myself...and because my dog poked a hole in my pepper spray a couple weeks ago i was without dog and without pepper spray...and was so sure i was going to be attacked and killed while i was on the trail...to my surprise i made it...and i'm still alive!
so friday operation no overheating was in full effect again because we were going to run 8 miles...and after reading that i could be getting nauseous from not having enough sugar or salt in my system i made my dog sitting cousin go to the store and buy me sour patch kids...they are my new trick...and they are officially the best running supplement! so it was pourrrrrrrring saturday morning but my friend (going forward referred to as "Kate") and i completed our first 4 mile run with no problemo...we had some sour patch kids at the halfway point and wouldn't you know it we killed our second 4 mile run...its the sour patch kids i'm sure of it...i could have sprinted in...but i didn't want leave kate in the dust ;) haha yeah right.
then...when i got home and got in the shower...things went downhill...i found the little plastic piece that holds a sale tag to underwear embedded in my back from wearing new underwear...owwwww....and then found out my wet shirt had rubbed the skin on my collarbone raw...oh and the seams on my sports bra had rubbed a small hole on each of my sides....owwww...
but moral of the story is that we made it 8 f-miles and we are majorly bad ass peeps...watch out for us...we will run you over if you're in our way!
oh and the other moral of the story is that O-Town ROCKS!!! I've been listening to O-Town and NSync all afternoon and it just makes me sooooo happy :)
